Beclomethasone in inhaled form is used for the long-term management of ashma. It is indicated for mild, moderate and severe asthma.

Beclomethasone is available under the trade name Beclate Inhaler manufactured by Cipla.

Recommendations

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Use your medicine exactly as directed.

The usual starting dosage is:
100 to 200 mcg per day in two divided doses for mild asthma
200 to 400 mcg per day in two divided doses for moderate asthma
100 to 200 mcg per day in two divided doses for severe asthma

The maximum recommended dosage is 800 mcg per day in divided doses.
