Tafero-EM (generic name: emtricitabine / tenofovir alafenamide; brand names include: Descovy) is an antiviral medication used for PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and for the treatment of HIV.
Tafero-EM (Descovy) helps lower the chances of getting HIV through sex. It can be used by adults and adolescents at risk of HIV.
Tafero-EM (Descovy) together with other HIV-1 medicines can be used for HIV-1 treatment.
Each pack of Tafero-EM (Descovy) contains 30 tablets.

Precautions
Tafero-EM (Descovy) is not for use in people assigned female at birth who are at risk of getting HIV through vaginal sex, because its effectiveness has not been studied.
You must be HIV-negative before and while taking Tafero-EM (Descovy) for PrEP.
