My father has been on Capecitabine for almost two years now after he was diagnosed with stage three colorectal cancer about 4 years ago. As far as side effects, weight gain seems to be most problematic for him. But in general the medication is better than many medications we have tried before. Anyway the weight gain is not too dramatic and is fully acceptable taking into account the positive effect from the medication. Capecitabine turned out to be very effective has worked perfectly well in reducing his tumour. No my father looks much healthier and he feels better as well. He can feel the taste of food again, he feels the smells and his hair started growing again. To my mind Capecitabine is an excellent solution for cancer sufferers.  

I have been on Capecitabine since 2010 and haven't had any side effects with this medication. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and since that time have tried many medications and undergone two chemotherapies. I believe it's due to Capecitabine that I haven't lost my hair and had no complications after the chemotherapies. In general I have wonderful results without side effects. I am now 41, the cancer seems to have stepped aside and I am looking forward to many more years of continued good health.  

Have been on Capecitabine for 4 years and my oncologist says that the results are outstanding and he wants me to continue treatment with this medication. The only side effect that I have noticed and that started to bother me is weight gain but I can't say that my weight is sky-rocketing and is uncontrollable. It is just a bit more difficult for me to maintain my usual shape now. But my cancer is definitely giving up and this is so much more important! Several extra kilos are a small price to pay to be cancer free. I will continue to use Capecitabine and recommend it to others.  

It's my fourth year after undergoing a comprehensive breast cancer treatment and I seem to be doing all right. No signs of cancer now, no recurrence. I spent about three years on Capecitabine and the results are brilliant. I used to have hot flashes but as time was passing by the symptoms disappeared and I haven't noticed any other side effects. The medication worked wonders for me! Life is good and I am happy now!
