Methotrexate (brand names include: Trexall / Rheumatrex / Emthexate / Methoblastin) is used to treat various conditions.

Methotrexate had been used to treat psoriasis and cancer prior to its approval for rheumatoid arthritis. It is also used to treat other rheumatic conditions including:

psoriatic arthritis
lupus
ankylosing spondylitis (peripheral joint disease)
vasculitis
juvenile arthritis (some types)

Methotrexate is also used for the treatment of certain cancers, including leukemia, breast cancer, and lung cancer.
