Nolvadex
Nolvadex (generic name: tamoxifen; brand names include: Blastofen / Istubal / Valodex / Soltamox / Genox / Tamofen) belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-oestrogens.
Nolvadex is used to treat:
Breast cancer
Endometrial cancer
Nolvadex works by blocking the effects of a female hormone oestrogen (estrogen) which is required by certain types of breast cancer to grow.

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Nolvadex exactly as directed.
Your doctor will tell you how much Nolvadex you need to take each day.
The usual daily dose for adults and elderly patients is 20mg to 40mg.
Nolvadex is not recommended for use in children.
If you forget to take Nolvadex, just take the next dose when it is due. Do not take more than one dose at a time to make up for missed doses.
Keep your tablets at room temperature. Avoid exposure to heat and moisture. Nolvadex tablets should also be protected from light.

Before taking Nolvadex, tell your doctor if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
