Galantamine
My mum suffers from Alzheimer's for more than 15 years and she has been on this medicine for 2 months now after her doctor decided to switch to a new drug. I have to admit that her cognitive functions and general reactions have become much more fluent. I am very pleased to see her like this as it is difficult to see a person you love to fade away and become less and less the way she used to be. I hope Galantamine will keep on supporting my mother! Anyway, this medication is much better than the majority of similar drugs presented on the market today.

I am a 55-year-old male with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. I have been on Galantamine for 4 months now and I've noticed considerable improvement in my condition. The feeling of a thick fog around me has disappeared and I can percept the reality like a normal person, without slow reactions and getting frozen. I have not noticed any side-effects at all after using Galantamine for this period of time. I am hopeful to see further changes for the better.

My husband was diagnosed with moderate Alzheimer's disease in 2007. Since that time we have tried many medications that claimed to be effective in Alzheimer's treatment but in general they were useless. His condition was gradually getting worse and nothing really helped. About three months ago he started hallucinating and stopped recognizing the family members. It was unbearable to see him like that. So I asked our doctor to prescribe him with some new medication. We switched to Galantamine and it was pure luck! The hallucinations disappeared, memory came back and he started reacting better to things that used to confuse him before. I think this med is a god sent!

My brother is 71 and recently he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. after hearing a lot of scary stories about useless medications and people losing their relatives because of severe Alzheimer's I am happy that we started right from Galantamine. Immediately after the treatment began my brother started showing signs of improvement. Now he is able to read again, he tells me about what he has read and we discuss this stuff. I can see logic in his thoughts and words and it makes me happy. I would recommend this medication to anyone whose life was damaged by Alzheimer's.
