Lotrisone
Lotrisone (generic name: betamethasone/clotrimazole; brand names include: Lotril / Cazol-B) belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungal agents.
Lotrisone is used on the skin to treat fungal infections of the feet, groin and body. Lotrisone should be used for fungal infections that are inflamed and have symptoms of redness and / or itching.
Lotrisone contains two compounds - a synthetic corticosteroid (betamethasone dipropionate) and a synthetic antifungal agent (clotrimazole) - that target different aspects of fungal infection. Clotrimazole targets the cause of the infection by inhibiting the growth of fungus on the skin, whereas betamethasone reduces fungal infection symptoms such as itching, swelling, and redness.
