Janumet (generic name: metformin / sitagliptin) is an antidiabetic medicine.

Janumet is a combination of 2 medicines: sitagliptin (the active ingredient in Januvia) and metformin.

Janumet is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

Janumet helps your pancreas make and release more insulin, helps your body use the insulin that it makes more effectively (improves insulin sensitivity), and decreases excess sugar that your body makes.
