Prandin
Prandin (generic name: repaglinide; brand names include: Eurepa / GlucoNorm / NovoNorm / Rapilin) is an antidiabetic medicine.
Prandin is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes (non-insulin dependent, NIDDM) along with diet and exercises.
Prandin can be used in combination with other antidiabetic medicines.
Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Prandin exactly as directed.
The usual starting dose is 0.5 mg with each meal. Prandin may be taken 2, 3, or 4 times daily before you eat, up to a maximum of 16 mg per day,
Prandin should be taken just before the meal or up to 30 minutes before the meal.
Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Prandin, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have diabetic ketoacidosis or severe liver problems;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
