Nevirapine (brand names include: Viramune / Nevimune) belongs to a class of medications known as non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs).

Nevirapine is used in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in patients with or without acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
