Amlopres-Z

Amlopres-Z (generic name: amlodipine, losartan) is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

Each tablet contains Amlodipine 5 mg (Norvasc) and Losartan 50 mg (Cozaar).

Indications include:

mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure)
hypertension not responding to monotherapy with calcium antagonists or angiotensin II receptor antagonists

Recommendations

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take your medicine exactly as directed.

The usual initial dosage is one tablet daily. If blood pressure control is inadequate after a week or two, the dose may be increased to two tablets daily.

Precautions

Before taking Amlopres-Z, tell your doctor if:

you are allergic to any medicines;
you suffer from liver problems or heart failure;
you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, or you are breast-feeding.
