Micardis
Micardis (generic name: Telmisartan; brand names: Pritor / Kinzal / Telma / Telday / Teleact D) is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (ARB).
Micardis is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). It can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medicines.
Micardis is a once-daily medication that works 24 hours a day. This means Micardis is still working in the early morning, up until the next pill is taken, providing a full 24-hour blood pressure control.
Micardis works by decreasing certain chemicals in the body that cause blood vessels to constrict (narrow).
