Xtane

Xtane (generic name: exemestane; brand names include: Aromasin, Exeget, Exmasin, Xemasin) belongs to the class of drugs known as aromatase inhibitors.

Xtane is used to treat breast cancer in women who are past menopause.

Xtane works by lowering estrogen level, thus helping slow or stop the growth of the cancer.

The medication should be taken by mouth, usually once daily with food (after a meal), or as directed by your doctor.

you have high blood fats (cholesterol);
bone problems (including osteopenia, osteoporosis);
heart disease (chest pain, heart attack, heart failure);
high blood pressure or blood clots;
kidney or liver problems.
