Diamox

Diamox Our price
£0.53

Diamox (generic name: acetazolamide; brand names include: Avva) is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.

Diamox is used to treat:

glaucoma
acute mountain sickness (altitude sickness)
fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure
seizure disorders

Diamox is usually used in combination with other medicines.

Diamox works by stopping the action of a chemical in the body called carbonic anhydrase. This reduces the amount of a substance called bicarbonate which is responsible for high pressure in the eye.
