Methimazole

Methimazole (other names include: Thiamazole / Methimez / Tapazole) is used to treat overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).

Indications include:

Graves disease
toxic multinodular goiter
thyrotoxic crisis

Methimazole works by stopping the overproduction of thyroid hormone.
