Pepcid
Pepcid (generic name: famotidine; brand names include: Famocid, Pepcidine, Famonext, Fanit) belongs to a group of medicines known as H2 histamine blocker.
It is used in the treatment of stomach and intestinal conditions.
Indications include:
short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcer
maintenance therapy for duodenal ulcer patients at reduced dosage after healing of an active ulcer
short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcer
short-term treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome and multiple endocrine adenomas
